A recent Dumb Little Man "tips for life" blog post: 5 Easy Ways to Fit Exercise Into Your Busy Schedule, offered some great tips. Here's our take on the list:

1. Use Your Lunch Hour -- We do it here, because we're blessed with a workplace gym. There's a 20-minute yoga workout, a half-hour Pilates workout, some of my coworkers go outside and run or stay inside and use the machines, or you can take a hint from the ShapeUpRI folks and walk on your lunch hour.

2. Make Your Commute Active -- You can bike to work, even in bad weather. (Although I have to admit, as much as I love riding my bike, I'm not one of the lucky ones who can.)

3. Exercise First Thing in the Morning -- This is one of my favorites, especially on the days when I come to work a little later than 9 a.m. It clears the mind, opens you day to new things, and gives you lots of energy.

4. Exercise Straight After Work -- My husband does this. He says coming home after a hard day and burning off some steam -- he loves strength training -- is a great way to relieve stress. If you don't have weights at home, try medicine balls.

5. Exercise With Your Kids -- It's family fun, and you're setting a great example for the rest of their lives. There are lots of fun, cheap activities you can do as a family. Who's a better role model than you?
